About
Cravings Cupcakery is a veteran-owned bakery creating gourmet cakes and cupcakes for Northern Virginia.
After more than 21 years of serving her country in the U.S. Air Force, owner, Carie Rauch decided to serve cake. Her passion for baking started in the 1970s, when she got an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas. A self-taught baker, over the years she tested her recipes through birthday and baby shower cakes, catered events and even wedding cakes created for her Airmen and civilian co-workers. With the encouragement of those who tasted her creations, she established Cravings Cupcakery as a home-based bakery in 2012.
In 2017, our Woodbridge storefront bakery opened in Dillingham Square. We offer a variety of cake pops, cupcakes, cookies, gelato, gourmet chocolates, and an espresso bar, for dine-in or take out. Custom, made-to-order cakes are also available. If we’re not able to deliver your order, Postmates and GrubHub services are available.
Our from-scratch recipes are tried and true to what makes Cravings Cupcakery special. Real ingredients, real desserts made with care–no mass production. Just pure decadence that satisfies your Cravings. Our approach is simple–we treat our Cravers like family. Additionally we feature other Virginia-made products to ensure we support local.
Cravings Cupcakery has been featured on Food Network’s Cake Wars (Season 4, Trolls episode). We’ve earned our wings as a Sugar Angel, baking a difference for families impacted by the critical illness of a child, through the nonprofit organization, Icing Smiles. To support the families of military members we’ve donated our creations to Operation Homefront. Our end-of-day cupcakes are donated to three local homeless shelters. We regularly donate to local churches and schools.
Our mission is to bake memories, that satisfy your Cravings.
